This project is a visually stunning fashion editorial shot on location in Ilorin, Nigeria, that tells the story of the city's cultural fabric through contemporary fashion. We will collaborate with local designers and tailors to create looks that fuse traditional Yoruba textiles—like aso-oke and adire—with modern silhouettes, showcasing the craftsmanship that Ilorin is known for. The project aims to highlight the beauty of our heritage while pushing creative boundaries, resulting in a portfolio-worthy series of images and a short film. The creative vision is to transform iconic Ilorin landmarks into a stylish runway. We will shoot against the backdrop of the historic Esie Museum, the bustling traditional dye pits, and the architectural elegance of the Emir's Palace. The editor will play a crucial role in crafting a dynamic narrative, weaving together interviews with local textile artists, behind-the-scenes moments, and stunning fashion shots. The final deliverables will be a series of high-fashion stills and a 2-3 minute cinematic short film, ready for social media and portfolio presentation.
