This project captures a surreal visual narrative starting in the serene, pastoral landscapes of the Surrey Hills, specifically Box Hill and Leith Hill. We'll begin with early morning shoots, documenting the misty valleys and ancient woodlands as a metaphor for tranquility and timelessness. The creative challenge is to then juxtapose this with London's dynamic, vertical cityscape, focusing on iconic landmarks like the Shard and Tate Modern's turbine hall, capturing the energy and pace of urban life. The unique twist is a digital mixed media approach: we will produce a series of eight large-format photographs (or digital artworks) where the Surrey landscapes and London cityscapes are seamlessly blended. Think double exposures, layered transparencies, and subtle digital painting to create dreamlike composites that explore the tension and harmony between nature and the metropolis. The project aims to question our perception of reality and identity as influenced by place. This project is perfect for a small team with access to both locations and a passion for experimental fine art. The final collection will be exhibition-ready, suitable for a gallery show or a stunning portfolio to attract commercial clients seeking a poetic, conceptual edge.
