This project captures the heartbeat of Bengaluru's daily commute by transforming the sounds of Namma Metro into an original musical composition. We will record the rhythmic chimes, train announcements, platform footfalls, and ambient hums across key stations like MG Road, Vidhana Soudha, and Majestic. These raw sounds will be layered with electronic beats and ambient textures to create a dynamic audio piece that reflects the city's energy, diversity, and movement. The creative vision is to highlight the often-overlooked symphony of urban transit, turning commuter noise into art. By collaborating with local sound designers, composers, and a visual artist, we will produce a 3-4 minute track accompanied by a visual lyric video that overlays station names and timings as graphic elements. This project is unique because it celebrates a specific Bengaluru experience—the metro ride—and makes it accessible as a shareable, portfolio-worthy piece of music and design. We aim to premiere the track on a local music platform or social media, leveraging the trend of location-based music projects and the growing interest in field recordings. The final deliverables will include the mastered track and a lyric video that can be showcased on streaming services or at a listening event.
