Launch at Genesis Cinema in Whitechapel with live Q&A
This project transforms London's overlooked subterranean spaces—disused tube tunnels, Victorian vaults, and hidden crypts—into a living performance venue. A musician will compose an electronic score that responds acoustically to the unique architecture of each location, while a director creates movement and visual narratives that interact with the space. The performance will be documented as a hybrid live experience/film piece. What makes this unique is the fusion of location-as-instrument with contemporary performance art, creating work that could only exist in London's specific architectural history. We'll leverage current trends in immersive theatre, spatial audio, and urban exploration while creating a portfolio piece that showcases innovative use of London's heritage spaces. The final work will exist both as a limited live experience and as a cinematic art film.
