This project reimagines the historic riverside town of Bewdley as a surreal, atmospheric backdrop for a fashion editorial. The concept follows a lone figure (the model) moving through the town's iconic locations as the tide rises and falls, their attire transitioning from rugged, utilitarian waders and waxed jackets into high-fashion, sculptural pieces that echo the river's currents and the town's Victorian architecture. The narrative is simple: a dialogue between the human form and the persistent, changing waterline. What makes this unique is the integration of Bewdley's specific geography and history. The shoot will utilize the changing levels of the River Severn, from the serene, reflective pools at low tide to the dramatic, fast-moving currents when the river is high. The town's landmarks—the 18th-century Bewdley Bridge, the historic Dog Lane, the gardens of the Royal Forester pub, and the long, sweeping vistas of the Severn Valley Railway—will serve as distinct 'sets'. The fashion will be a mix of local market finds (vintage outdoor gear) and contemporary, conceptual pieces, creating a tension between the practical and the fantastical. This project taps into the current trend of 'place-based fashion storytelling' and 'tide-core' aesthetics seen in high-fashion editorials (like those by Tim Walker or in Vogue's 'Ones to Watch'). It is achievable for a small team: one director/DP, one model, one stylist/makeup artist, one producer/assistant, and one sound designer/editor. The final deliverables will be a 3-4 minute fashion film and a set of 8-10 high-res editorial photographs, all portfolio-ready.
