Thameside Threads is a fashion editorial and micro-film project that traces the journey of a single garment—a bespoke tweed blazer—from the rolling hills of Surrey to the dynamic streets of London. The project explores how fashion adapts to and is transformed by its environment. It will feature a model wearing the blazer in a series of styled looks, each reflecting the character of a different location: the quiet sophistication of a Surrey vineyard, the industrial grit of London's South Bank, and the vibrant energy of Shoreditch. Each look will be captured as both a still photograph and a short cinematic clip, creating a cohesive visual narrative. This project is unique because it leverages the visual contrast between Surrey's pastoral luxury and London's metropolitan chaos, telling a story of duality and adaptation. It taps into current trends of 'quiet luxury' and 'gorpcore', blending heritage fabrics with contemporary styling. The final output is a polished editorial series (6-8 images) and a 60-second fashion film, suitable for portfolio use, social media, and potential publication on platforms like Instagram, Vogue Italia's PhotoVogue, or Schön! Magazine.
