Project Brief

This project is a site-specific, immersive visual installation along the River Severn in Bewdley. Over two weeks, we will create a series of large-scale, light-based artworks and photographic projections that respond to the town's unique history—from its medieval bridge and Georgian architecture to its relationship with the river that has shaped its identity. The installation will use a blend of photography, digital art, and projection mapping to create a temporary, magical transformation of key landmarks, inviting both locals and visitors to see Bewdley in a new light. What makes this project unique is its participatory and site-responsive nature. We'll engage the community by collecting old photographs and stories from residents, which will be woven into the visual tapestry. The final piece will be a cinematic walk-through experience, designed to be photographed and shared, making it perfect for social media and portfolio building. It's a bold, achievable project that leverages the trend of immersive, ephemeral art installations and the growing interest in 'placemaking' through creativity.
