Sonic London transforms the city's acoustic identity into a live performance event. The project captures field recordings from London's most resonant spaces—from the echo chambers of Leadenhall Market to the metallic vibrations of the Millennium Bridge—then weaves them into a live electronic music set performed at an intimate East London venue. The performance becomes a sonic map of the city, where audience members experience London through layered soundscapes rather than visuals. This project uniquely bridges documentary field recording with live electronic music performance, creating an immersive experience that highlights London's acoustic architecture. By using binaural recording techniques and spatial audio mixing, we'll create a 360-degree sound journey that transports listeners through different boroughs and time periods within a single evening. The event will be recorded for release as a live album and visual companion piece, capturing both the performance and the field recording process.
