Project Brief

Threads of the Thames is a visual ode to London, blending high fashion with the gritty, romantic textures of the city. The film follows a model as she moves through a series of iconic London locations—from the neon-lit streets of Soho to the grandeur of St. Paul's—each scene a tableau that reflects a different facet of London's character. The narrative is less about a linear story and more about a series of cinematic tableaux, where each transition is a sartorial and spatial metamorphosis. Our creative vision is to create a bold, editorial piece that feels both cinematic and fashion-forward. We'll experiment with bold silhouettes, dramatic makeup, and a monochromatic palette punctuated by flashes of red—a nod to London's classic double-decker buses and phone booths. The film will be shot in a mix of 16mm and digital, giving it a textured, filmic quality. What makes this project unique is its integration of London's living cityscape as a co-star; we'll shoot at 'golden hour' and into the night, capturing the city's transition and the model's evolution with it. The final deliverable will be a 2-3 minute fashion film optimized for social media (vertical and square cuts) and a series of still photographs for editorial submission. This project is designed to be a standout piece in any model or director's portfolio, demonstrating an ability to blend narrative, location, and fashion into a cohesive, striking visual story.
