This project is a three-part visual essay capturing the transition from dusk to deep night in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. Each city’s segment will be defined by its unique nightlife DNA: NYC’s raw, high-contrast energy in the streets of Bushwick; Miami’s electric, pastel-hued saturation in South Beach’s neon underbelly; and LA’s sprawling, cinematic glow from the rooftop vantage points of Silver Lake. The film will weave together short vignettes, abstract cityscapes, and spontaneous street portraits, united by a custom ambient soundtrack that shifts in tempo and texture as the camera moves coast to coast. What makes this project unique is its approach to storytelling: there is no dialogue, no narrative arc, only pure, sensory immersion. We will use a combination of anamorphic lenses, gimbal-mounted slow-motion shots, and day-for-night color grading to create a dreamlike, almost tangible atmosphere. The final piece is designed for social media distribution in 60-second vertical cuts, as well as a longer horizontal format for portfolio and festival submission.
