Simultaneous weekend installations in both cities
Urban Echoes explores the visual conversation between two distinct UK cities: London's relentless modernity and Hull's post-industrial resilience. The project will create a series of large-scale photographic diptychs pairing architectural details, textures, and human moments from both cities, revealing unexpected visual rhymes and contrasts. These will be complemented by physical installations using found objects from each location, creating a tactile dialogue between the cities' material histories. What makes this unique is the dual-city approach combined with projection mapping elements that will temporarily transform spaces in both locations. We'll use Hull's historic Fruit Market and London's Shoreditch as parallel creative districts, creating site-specific installations that respond to each environment. The project taps into current trends of urban exploration, material storytelling, and temporary public art interventions that engage local communities while creating portfolio-worthy visual narratives.
