This project envisions a trilogy of short, site-specific performances, each uniquely crafted for New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. The concept harnesses the distinct rhythms, architecture, and cultural pulse of each metropolis to create an immersive theatrical experience. In New York, a piece performed in the shadow of the High Line explores connection and isolation in a vertical city. In Miami, a beachside performance at dusk uses the ocean as a stage, blending spoken word with movement to tell stories of migration and rebirth. In Los Angeles, a drive-in-style performance at the iconic Griffith Observatory delves into Hollywood's dreams and the vastness of the sky. The performances are designed to be modular, with a core ensemble of five performers who adapt their roles for each city. The narrative thread—a journey of self-discovery through urban landscapes—allows each city's unique flavor to shape the tone and aesthetic. The project leverages the trend of immersive and site-specific theatre, offering audiences a visceral connection to both the performance and their environment. It's a portfolio-worthy exploration of how performance can transform and be transformed by iconic urban spaces, creating a powerful, shareable experience that resonates beyond the stage.
