Project Brief

This project reimagines the River Thames as a runway, weaving together the serene landscapes of Surrey and the gritty energy of London into a single, flowing editorial story. A single actor/model will embody a traveler whose wardrobe evolves from pastoral earth tones to urban metallics, reflecting the journey’s changing environments. The film will use natural light and urban reflections to create a visual dialogue between nature and city, emphasizing sustainable fashion pieces. The result will be a portfolio-worthy piece that marries fashion with a sense of place, appealing to brands focused on timelessness and transition. By shooting at locations like the River Wey in Guildford, the Thames Path in Runnymede, and iconic London spots like the South Bank and Tate Modern, the project highlights the contrast and continuity between these regions. The small team will include a director of photography to capture dynamic, flowing shots, a stylist to curate the evolving looks, and a model who can convey subtle emotional shifts through movement. The project’s uniqueness lies in its use of the Thames as a literal and metaphorical thread, tying together two distinct landscapes into a cohesive visual poem. Current trends in slow fashion and hyperlocal storytelling make this project particularly relevant. The final deliverables will include a 3-5 minute film optimized for social media (vertical and horizontal formats) and a set of 10 still editorial images, suitable for both the model’s and the creative team’s portfolios.
