Northern Lights is a traveling, dual-city pop-up experience that celebrates the creative synergy between London and Hull. The project transforms a unique, semi-permanent space in each city into an immersive environment for one week. In London, we'll focus on high-fashion futurism within a repurposed industrial space, while in Hull, we'll highlight the city's maritime heritage and burgeoning arts scene, creating a dialogue between capital sophistication and northern resilience. The event will feature live model showcases styled with upcycled materials, interactive digital projections mapping local architectural details, and curated soundscapes blending London's electronic pulse with Hull's folk influences. What makes this project unique is its 'twin city' narrative and sustainable execution. We'll use the same core modular set pieces—custom-built from recycled marine materials sourced in Hull—reconfigured for each location. The event will be documented as a live-streamed 'creative exchange' series, capturing the journey of the installation and team between cities. This creates not just two separate events, but a single, cohesive story about connection and regional identity, perfect for portfolio pieces that demonstrate scalable, narrative-driven event production.
