Thames Pulse is a 10-minute experimental documentary that explores the symbiotic relationship between London and the River Thames. Using a mix of observational footage, intimate interviews, and poetic narration, the film weaves together the stories of river workers, artists, and locals whose lives are intertwined with the river. The narrative follows a day in the life of the Thames, from dawn at Richmond to dusk at the Thames Barrier, revealing how the river shapes the city's identity and rhythms. The film will employ innovative techniques such as time-lapse, underwater photography, and drone shots to create a visceral experience. What makes this project unique is its focus on the Thames as a living entity, combining documentary authenticity with a cinematic, almost musical structure. The final piece will be a portfolio-worthy short film suitable for film festivals and online platforms, showcasing London's iconic landmarks and hidden corners.
