This project will transform the iconic streets of Manchester's Northern Quarter into a neon-lit visual diary. By combining photography, digital illustration, and street art techniques, we'll create a series of 5 large-format prints that celebrate the area's unique blend of Victorian architecture, independent shops, and modern graffiti. The team will spend the first week documenting the district's textures and colors, then reinterpret these elements as bold, neon-inspired compositions. The final deliverables will be exhibition-ready prints that capture the electric energy of this creative hub. What makes this project unique is its focus on the specific light and atmosphere of Manchester's Northern Quarter. Unlike generic city art, we'll incorporate recognizable landmarks like Afflecks Palace, Stevenson Square, and the hidden alleyways, mixing them with abstract neon shapes and urban decay. The result will be a modern, pop-art-inspired series that feels both nostalgic and futuristic — a true ode to Manchester's creative spirit.
