This project will create a temporary public art installation in Manchester's Northern Quarter, using projection mapping and light-based art to reveal the area's rich industrial and musical heritage. The installation will transform iconic locations like Dale Street, Tib Street, and the Stevenson Square area into a dynamic canvas, projecting animated illustrations, archival imagery, and abstract light patterns onto building facades. Each projection will tell a story, from the area's textile mill past to its role as a hub for punk and indie music, creating a visual narrative that celebrates the neighborhood's resilient and creative spirit. The project will be documented as a high-quality short film to showcase the work and be shared on social media, providing a portfolio piece for all involved.
