This project reimagines the landscapes of London and Surrey as a stage for a moving portrait. We will create a short, site-specific performance film that follows a single character (an actor/mover) through a journey from a bustling London market to a secluded, historic garden in Surrey. The narrative is non-linear, using movement and expression to tell a story of finding stillness within nature's overlooked pockets. The creative vision blends the raw, documentary-style energy of London's streets with the curated, timeless beauty of Surrey's gardens (like RHS Wisley or Painshill Park). The performance will be improvised within these environments, capturing authentic, unrepeatable moments. This project is unique because it leverages the contrast between two distinct locations to create a visual and emotional dialogue, highlighting the need for creative respite in a fast-paced world. Final output will be a 3-5 minute cinematic short, perfect for festival submissions and portfolio showcases. It leverages current trends in slow cinema, biophilic art, and authentic, location-driven storytelling.
