This project reimagines the South Bank as a living stage. A small ensemble creates a 'soundwalk' performance that audiences experience via headphones. Starting at the Tate Modern, the journey traces the river's edge, with performers appearing at iconic points — under the Hungerford Bridge, on the steps of the National Theatre, inside a phone box near the London Eye. The narrative explores themes of flow, connection, and urban isolation, using the city's own rhythms and architecture as backdrops and props. The performance will be a hybrid of pre-recorded spoken word and live, repeated, minimalist theatre actions: a dancer freezing mid-step, an actor reciting a poem about water, a comedian delivering a one-liner about the tourist crowds. This is a portable, repeatable piece that can be performed for small audiences multiple times, capturing the essence of London's pulse through a collective, sensory experience. The final output is a polished, edited video edit of the best moments, designed for social media and festival submissions.
