This project is a fashion editorial film that reimagines Manchester's iconic Northern Quarter as a living runway. The concept blends the raw, textured aesthetic of the city's red brick and industrial heritage with contemporary, bold fashion—think deconstructed tailoring, oversized silhouettes, and tactile fabrics like wool, denim, and leather. The narrative follows a model navigating a series of vignettes: from the neon-lit Stevenson Square to the cobbled backstreets of Tibb Street, each location becomes a stage for a distinct 'look' that tells a story of urban reinvention. What makes this unique is its dual focus on place and texture. We'll use natural light and golden hour to capture the contrast between the warm tones of brick and the cool hues of street art, while close-up shots highlight fabric movement—wind catching a scarf, a hand brushing against a graffitied wall. The film will be interspersed with slow-motion sequences and abrupt cuts, creating a rhythmic, almost hypnotic pace that echoes the city's constant pulse. The project is achievable for a small team of 3-6 people, including a director, model, stylist, and cinematographer. Pre-production involves location scouting and mood board creation, production spans two days of shooting, and post-production includes color grading and sound design, all within a month. The final deliverable is a 3-5 minute short film and a set of 10 editorial stills, both portfolio-ready for fashion and film platforms.
