This project is a short music film that follows a fictional indie band (or solo artist) on a journey from a gritty Brixton practice room, through the neon-lit streets of Shoreditch, and into the serene, rolling hills of the Surrey countryside. The narrative explores themes of escape, inspiration, and the collision of urban and rural creative energy. Visually, the film will juxtapose the raw, textured aesthetics of London’s live music scene (The Windmill, The Hope & Anchor) with the dreamlike, open landscapes of Box Hill and the silent, ivy-covered ruins of Waverley Abbey. Each location will be paired with an original soundtrack that blends lo-fi indie rock with ambient electronic elements, creating a sensory journey that feels both intimate and epic. What makes this unique is the deliberate contrast between London’s dense, collaborative energy and Surrey’s quiet, reflective spaces. The film will be shot in a cinéma vérité style, with handheld cameras and natural lighting, then cut to the rhythm of the music, creating a visceral, portfolio-worthy visual album segment that showcases the talent of every crew member.
