The Pier-to-Pier Project is a high-energy short film that draws a visual line between two iconic waterfronts: London's South Bank and Hull's historic Old Town and Marina. Using a split-screen and match-cut technique, the film follows a day in the life of two creatives—one in each city—as they move through their local landscapes, drawing parallels between urban and coastal culture. The concept taps into the 'slow travel' and 'local pride' trends while keeping the edit punchy for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. The creative vision is to celebrate the unexpected connections between the capital and the UK's City of Culture, using bold colour grading and rhythmic editing to create a seamless, mesmerising journey. What makes it unique is its hyper-local specificity: recognisable landmarks like the Tate Modern and The Deep appear as mirrored motifs, inviting audiences to see both cities anew.
