This project aims to create a 4-track EP that sonically maps London's diverse energy. The concept is to field-record distinctive, often overlooked sounds from specific London locations—like the rhythmic clatter of the Northern Line, the specific acoustics of Leadenhall Market, the hum of a Brixton night market, or the wind through the trees in Hampstead Heath. These raw audio samples will become the foundational percussion, melodies, and textures for original music. The creative vision is to blend genres native to or thriving in London, creating a 'sonic postcard' that feels authentically of the city. One track might fuse the ambient noise of the Barbican Centre with neo-soul chords, while another could build a grime-inspired beat from the metallic echoes of the Millennium Bridge. The final product is more than an album; it's an immersive audio documentary and a portfolio piece showcasing innovative production and deep local connection.
