This project invites a small team to craft a 6-8 minute sonic experience that weaves together the vibrant sounds of Charminar's bustling bazaars, the call to prayer from Mecca Masjid, and the rhythmic clatter of Laad Bazaar's bangle makers. The concept is to layer field recordings from these iconic locations with a fusion track that merges traditional Telugu folk instruments (like the ektara and dhol) with contemporary electronic production. The result will be an evocative auditory postcard that transports listeners to the heart of Hyderabad. What makes this unique is its hyper-local focus and the challenge of capturing the city's evolving identity—where centuries-old traditions coexist with a booming tech culture. The final track will be accompanied by a 2-minute visualizer video featuring abstract animations inspired by Hyderabad's Pearl Market and Nizami architecture, designed for social media and portfolio showcases. This project leverages the current trend of 'place-based soundscapes' popular on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, and is achievable with a small team of 4-6 people within 3 weeks.
