This project reimagines London not through its iconic postcard views, but through its sonic and visual textures. We will produce a series of 3-4 interconnected short-form music videos, each set in a distinct, acoustically interesting but visually overlooked London location. The core concept is 'found sound'βthe project will begin with field recordings from each site (the hum of the Barbican's ventilation, the echo of a Victorian arcade, the patter of rain in a Brutalist underpass). These sounds will be sampled and woven into an original, lo-fi hip-hop/ambient score by a local producer. The videos will be character-driven, following a solitary figure (a listener, a wanderer) moving through these spaces, visually syncing their movements and the cinematography to the constructed beat. This creates a unique portrait of the city that is both intimate and expansive, turning mundane architecture into a cinematic playground. It leverages the trend for ASMR-inspired audio, lo-fi aesthetics, and urban exploration content, resulting in a portfolio piece that demonstrates narrative cohesion, atmospheric world-building, and innovative sound-image integration.
