This project celebrates Bengaluru’s dual identity as the Garden City and a bustling tech hub. We will create a series of illustrative posters and a short animated loop that juxtaposes historic sites like Lalbagh Glass House, Vidhana Soudha, and Cubbon Park with modern elements—auto-rickshaws, coffee cups, and blooming Gulmohar trees. The style will blend retro vector art with contemporary flat design, using a palette inspired by Bengaluru’s tropical greens, sunset oranges, and pastel bougainvillea. What makes this unique is its focus on hidden local stories: the old-fashioned ‘gundu’ (round) traffic islands, the iconic ‘Darshini’ filter coffee stalls, and the temple tanks that still dot the city. Each illustration will include subtle Easter eggs for Bengalureans—like the familiar squeak of autorickshaw horns or the silhouette of the ISKCON temple. The final deliverables will be a poster series (digital and print-ready) and a 15-second looping animation optimized for social media, perfect for portfolios aiming at editorial design, branding, or urban illustration work.
