Ilorin Soundscapes is a unique musical exploration that fuses the rich cultural heritage of Ilorin with contemporary Afro-fusion sounds. The project will bring together local musicians, producers, and visual artists to create an original EP inspired by the city's landmarks, stories, and people. From the bustling markets of Oja Oba to the serene banks of the Asa River, each track will be a sonic postcard of Ilorin. The creative vision is to produce a 5-track EP that showcases the diversity of Ilorin's music scene, incorporating traditional instruments like the talking drum and kora with modern electronic production. The project will also include a music video shot at iconic locations such as the Ilorin Central Mosque and the Emir's Palace, capturing the vibrant energy of the city. What makes this project unique is its collaborative nature, involving local talents and providing a platform for emerging artists to showcase their skills. The final deliverables will include the EP, a music video, and a live performance event, all aimed at putting Ilorin on the map as a hub of musical innovation.
