This project will create a three-part musical EP, each track representing the unique sonic identity of New York, Miami, and LA. Using field recordings from iconic and unexpected locations—the hum of a subway car in NYC, the rhythmic crash of Miami waves mixing with Latin beats on Ocean Drive, and the endless freeway drone of LA's Sunset Boulevard—we'll build a layered, immersive soundscape. A vocalist and session musician will add melodic and harmonic layers, while a producer stitches everything into a cohesive, modern electronic track with a lo-fi, cinematic edge. The result is a portfolio piece demonstrating creative field recording, production prowess, and a deep understanding of each city's cultural pulse.
