Echoes in the Underground is an immersive audiovisual project that transforms forgotten London tube stations into temporary performance spaces. The project centers around a 25-minute live electronic set composed specifically for the unique acoustics and atmosphere of decommissioned stations like Aldwych or Down Street. The musician will perform using modular synths, samplers, and found sounds recorded on-site, responding to the space's natural reverb and textures. The film component will document this one-time performance through cinematic, movement-driven cinematography that treats the station architecture as both set and instrument. Rather than a traditional concert film, this project explores how environment shapes creation—capturing the moment when a musician interacts with a space that was never meant for music. The final piece will exist as both a standalone film and a spatial audio experience, with binaural recordings allowing listeners to feel physically present in the underground chambers.
