Launch on weekend of week 3
This project transforms Manchester's Northern Quarter into a free, after-dark art trail using sustainable neon and LED installations. Each piece will be site-specific, drawing on the area's history—from cotton mills to record shops—and inviting public interaction through motion sensors and sound. The trail aims to boost footfall for local businesses while offering a portfolio-worthy showcase for emerging artists. We'll collaborate with local venues, including Afflecks and Fred Aldous, to host workshops and display artworks. The trail will be documented through a short film and a digital map, making it accessible beyond the physical experience. This fusion of physical and digital art aligns with current trends in immersive, community-driven public art. By leveraging Manchester's iconic locations and creative community, the project will be completed in three weeks with a small team. The final trail will launch with a weekend event, attracting locals and tourists alike.
