Week 4 (launch)
This project brings together a small team of creatives to capture the essence of the River Thames as it flows through London, from the historic heart of Westminster to the modern skyline of Canary Wharf. Over three weeks, we will photograph and film the river at various times of day and tide, focusing on the interplay between the city's architectural heritage and its contemporary evolution. The result will be a stunning visual narrative that celebrates the Thames as both a constant and a catalyst for change. Our vision is to create an immersive installation that combines large-format photography, time-lapse video, and an original ambient soundscape. The work will be presented as a digital exhibition, accessible online, and as a physical pop-up gallery in a repurposed industrial space along the river. By blending documentary realism with abstract, painterly compositions, we aim to evoke the river's ever-changing moods and its profound connection to London's identity. What makes this project unique is its collaborative approach: a director with a keen eye for cinematic storytelling will lead the visual narrative, while a musician will craft an original score that echoes the river's rhythms. A model will serve as a muse, appearing in silhouette against iconic backdrops, adding a human element to the urban landscape. The final piece will be a multi-sensory experience that resonates with both Londoners and a global audience, showcasing the city's creative pulse.
