Project Brief

This project aims to create a vibrant visual series that celebrates the unique cultural tapestry of Hyderabad's Old City, using a bold, contemporary aesthetic. The concept involves capturing striking photographic portraits and street scenes around landmarks like Charminar, Mecca Masjid, and the Laad Bazaar, then reimagining them through a digital mixed media lens. The final pieces will blend photography with graphic overlays, textures, and typography inspired by local patterns and calligraphy, creating a bridge between tradition and modern visual art. What makes this project unique is its focus on the intimate, human stories of the area's artisans, shopkeepers, and residents, elevating everyday moments into art. The team will spend time exploring the narrow lanes, documenting the play of light and shadow, and collaborating with local craftspeople to understand their craft. The final series will be designed for gallery display and online portfolio, perfect for attracting editorial and commercial clients interested in authentic, culturally-rich visual storytelling. The creative vision draws from the energy of street photography, the precision of fashion editorial, and the narrative depth of documentary work. We'll use a bold, warm color palette inspired by the region's spices, textiles, and architecture, with a modern graphic twist. This project leverages current trends in mixed media art, authentic local storytelling, and vibrant color grading.
