This project is a short-form music video for an original electronic track (or a licensed track from a local artist) that uses the urban landscape of Brixton as its primary canvas. The concept follows a young visual artist who collects discarded tube maps and ticket stubs, using them to trace a hidden musical beat that pulses beneath the streets. As she walks from the Ritzy Cinema to the covered market, she ‘hears’ the city in the objects she finds, culminating in a vibrant, impromptu dance performance inside the abandoned Dogstar rooftop. The video is a visual poem about finding magic in the mundane and reclaiming public space through art and sound. We want to capture Brixton’s raw, textured energy—its street art, its market bustle, and its iconic architecture—but from a new, intimate perspective. The final piece will be a 3-minute music video designed for a digital-first audience, with a powerful art direction that blurs the line between documentary and music video. The track will be an ambient, beat-driven piece that builds from a quiet, field-recording intro into a full, bass-heavy climax.
