This project captures the soul of Ilorin, Nigeria, through a music video that fuses traditional Sapele wood craftsmanship with contemporary Afrobeat. Set against the scenic banks of the Niger River and the historic Ilorin Emir's Palace, the video follows a musician's journey as they build a unique instrument from locally sourced wood and perform an original song celebrating the city's heritage. The unique angle lies in spotlighting the endangered art of Sapele wood carving, weaving a narrative of cultural preservation and modern creativity. The production will use natural lighting and handheld camera work for an intimate, raw aesthetic, with post-production adding warm color grading to evoke the golden hues of Ilorin's sunset.
