This project is a contemporary, nomadic performance piece that treats the railway journey from Hull to London as a living stage. The team will devise a series of short, impactful, site-specific performances to be executed at key public landmarks in both cities and at one symbolic midpoint station (e.g., Doncaster or Peterborough). The narrative thread will be a modern myth about connection and cultural exchange, using physical theatre, object manipulation, and direct audience engagement. It leverages the UK's rich history of street performance while injecting a viral, social-media-friendly energy. What makes this unique is its dual-city narrative structure and its use of the travel corridor as a conceptual spine. The project will capture the distinct atmospheres of Hull's maritime heritage and London's global bustle, framing them as two ends of a shared story. Performances will be designed to be discovered by the public, creating moments of unexpected magic, while also being professionally documented for a compelling portfolio piece that showcases adaptability and audience interaction.
