Launch on week 4
This project is a five-part social media series that celebrates Manchester's diverse neighbourhoods through the eyes of local content creators. Each episode focuses on a different area—Northern Quarter, Ancoats, Chorlton, Rusholme, and Salford Quays—and explores its unique character through interviews with locals, visits to independent businesses, and immersive soundscapes. The series will be shot in a vibrant, documentary style, blending handheld footage with stylised b-roll and dynamic editing to capture the energy of the city. The creative vision is to create a tapestry of Manchester's culture, highlighting the intersections of music, food, art, and community. Each creator brings their own perspective and style, resulting in a series that feels authentic and fresh. The project leverages the current trend for hyper-local, personality-driven content and the popularity of short-form video platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. What makes it unique is its collaborative nature, bringing together five creators to tell a collective story. The series will culminate in a live showcase event at a local venue, where all episodes are screened and the creators discuss their experiences. This event will be documented and shared as bonus content, further engaging the audience and providing a portfolio-worthy piece for all involved.
