Launch at end of week 4
This project reimagines Hyderabad's rich textile heritage through a modern streetwear lens. Inspired by the geometric patterns of the Charminar, the intricate weave of Gadwal and Pochampally sarees, and the vibrant chaos of Laad Bazaar, the collection will feature 8-10 unisex pieces that blend traditional motifs with contemporary silhouettes. The creative vision is to celebrate the old city's craftsmanship while appealing to a global, fashion-forward audience. The team will collaborate with local artisans to source fabrics and incorporate handloom techniques, ensuring authenticity. The final collection will be showcased in a fashion film and a lookbook shot at iconic locations such as the Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace, and the alleys of Laad Bazaar. This project is unique because it bridges the gap between heritage and street style, creating a dialogue between past and present. Beyond the visuals, the project aims to highlight the stories of the weavers and artisans, adding depth and social relevance. The deliverables will be portfolio-worthy assets that can be pitched to fashion publications, brands, or showcased in exhibitions.
