This project is a 5-7 minute musical short film that transforms the New York City subway system into a magical, pulsating stage. The story follows a struggling street musician who, during a late-night ride, stumbles upon a secret community of artists who perform in abandoned, hidden station tunnels. They use the city's ambient sounds—train rumbles, turnstile clicks, distant sirens—to create a symphony of urban life. The film will blend live-action performance with experimental visual effects, using neon lighting and projection mapping to turn subway cars and tunnels into fantastical landscapes. What makes this unique is its celebration of New York's often-overlooked creative underbelly, turning everyday commuter spaces into a vibrant, musical dreamscape. It’s a love letter to the city’s underground culture, shot in actual NYC subway stations and featuring original music composed from field recordings.
