This project captures the raw energy of Manchester’s Northern Quarter through five interlocking monologues performed on location. Each monologue is written for a specific spot—a tattoo parlour, a vinyl shop, a café, a graffiti alley, and a rooftop overlooking the city. The performers will be directed to use these spaces as their stage, blending street performance with intimate storytelling. The creative vision is to create a modern, gritty yet poetic portrait of Manchester’s creative heartbeat. The audience will experience the monologues as a walking tour, moving from one location to the next. The project culminates in a short film documenting the performances and interviews with the cast, capturing the raw, unpolished reality of the city. This is portfolio-worthy for its innovative fusion of site-specific theatre and documentary filmmaking.
