We'll record ambient sounds from iconic locations—the hum of Afflecks Palace, the clatter of Stevenson Square cafes, the echo of backstreet graffiti tours—and weave them into original electronic compositions. The result will be a 6-track EP that serves as both a musical work and an auditory map of the area. What makes this unique is its hyper-local focus combined with current trends in ambient music and soundscape storytelling. We'll use binaural recording techniques to create immersive 3D audio experiences, perfect for headphones. The project celebrates Manchester's creative resurgence while documenting a neighborhood in constant flux, creating a time capsule of sounds that might disappear with future development.
