This project will create a cutting-edge VR short film that immerses viewers in the forgotten water heritage of Hyderabad. The creative vision is to capture the serene beauty of locations like the Bansilalpet Stepwell and the Hussain Sagar Lake, combining real-world footage with subtle digital enhancements to create a dreamlike experience. The film will be a meditative journey through these spaces, highlighting their architectural grandeur and the interplay of light and water. What makes this unique is its focus on a lesser-known aspect of Hyderabad’s history — its stepwells and water bodies — and the use of 360-degree VR technology to bring this heritage to a global audience. The project will employ a small, agile team to scout, shoot, and edit, with a final deliverable suitable for VR platforms and film festivals.
