This project follows master potters in the historic Ilorin communities around Oke-Oyi and the banks of River Asa, where their craft has been passed down for generations. The film juxtaposes the intricate, rhythmic process of shaping clay with the quiet urgency of a tradition at risk of being forgotten. Through intimate close-ups and sweeping aerial views of the kilns, we uncover not just a skill, but a profound connection to the earth and culture of Ilorin. What makes this unique is the immersive depiction of the full lifecycle of clay: from the stomping of wet earth to the final glaze ready for marketplace sale.
