This project is a visual love letter to the unexpected creative and cultural links between London and Hull. It's not just about travel; it's about uncovering the shared narratives of maritime history, artistic resilience, and modern influence. We will produce a series of short, cinematic social media content that follows a small team as they explore each city through the eyes of a local creative. The concept is to contrast and compare. In London, we'll focus on the high-energy, fast-paced world of influencers and content creators in Shoreditch and the South Bank. In Hull, we'll explore the quiet, authentic creativity of the Fruit Market and the deep heritage of The Deep. The narrative thread will be a challenge: can a London influencer find genuine creative inspiration in Hull? And can a Hull-based creative navigate the influencer landscape of London? The result will be a raw, honest, and visually stunning portfolio piece. What makes this unique is its focus on 'creative tourism' and the democratisation of content creation. We're not just making a travel guide; we're making a statement about how creative talent exists everywhere, and that the most compelling stories often come from unexpected places. The final deliverables will be a series of polished, trend-forward social media clips (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts), a longer documentary edit for Vimeo/YouTube, and a set of high-quality stills for Instagram.
