Silk & Stone is a fashion-forward project that celebrates Bengaluru's dual identity—its rich silk-weaving traditions and its sleek, modern skyline. We'll create a cohesive capsule collection of 8-10 looks using locally sourced Bangalore Silk, styled in a contemporary, streetwear-inspired way. The project will culminate in a 2-3 minute fashion film and a high-quality digital lookbook, both shot at contrasting locations like the historic Bangalore Palace and the modern UB City. The creative vision is to juxtapose texture and structure: the softness of silk against the hardness of concrete and glass. This project is unique because it actively involves local weavers and designers, creating a platform for their work while pushing the aesthetic boundaries of traditional textiles. It's a portfolio piece that combines cultural storytelling with high-fashion execution, perfect for showcasing in online magazines or at local fashion events.
