This project captures the unique spirit of Bewdley by blending scripted narratives with authentic local voices. Set against the backdrop of the River Severn, the anthology weaves three short stories—each inspired by a real resident's memory of the river. A boatman recalls a childhood flood; a market stallholder shares a secret kept by the bridge; a musician finds inspiration on the riverbank at dawn. These fictional vignettes are intercut with vérité interviews and footage of Bewdley today, creating a hybrid docu-fiction that feels both timeless and immediate. The project leverages the current trend for "creative non-fiction" and community-driven storytelling, ensuring it stands out in festival submissions and online portfolios.
