This project transforms London's bridges into musical instruments through an innovative fusion of field recording, live performance, and visual storytelling. The team will capture unique acoustic signatures from seven Thames bridges—from the historic Tower Bridge to the modern Millennium Bridge—using contact microphones, hydrophones, and ambient recording techniques. These raw sounds will become the foundation for an original composition performed live at an intimate East London venue, accompanied by projected visuals that map the sonic journey along the river. What makes this project uniquely London is its deep engagement with the city's most recognizable landmarks through an auditory lens rarely explored. By treating architecture as an instrument and the river as a conductor, we create a performance that reveals hidden musicality within familiar urban spaces. The project taps into current trends of acoustic ecology, immersive experiences, and location-specific storytelling while creating portfolio-worthy content that showcases both technical skill and creative vision.
