The story follows a young archivist (played by our available writer/actor) who returns to her late grandmother's cottage on Lax Lane, only to find cryptic journals linking the family to a centuries-old pact with a river spirit. The floods aren't just nature; they are a reckoning. Filmed on location at the iconic Bewdley Bridge, the historic quayside, and the atmospheric Severn Valley Railway station, the project will capture the town's unique blend of quaint charm and latent danger. The creative vision is to pair the serene, pastoral beauty of Bewdley with a creeping sense of dread, using the town's actual flood defenses as visual motifs of a community holding back a secret. The final sequence will be a tense, ritualistic scene shot at dusk on the riverbank near the old Pump House. This project leverages the trend of 'folk horror revival' (like *The Wicker Man* or *Midsommar*) but grounds it in a real, local, and ecologically relevant anxiety.
