Subway Bloom is a fashion editorial project that celebrates the vibrant, diverse culture of New York City by staging impromptu runway moments in iconic subway stations. The concept merges high fashion with the raw energy of the underground, featuring upcycled garments created from vintage NYC-themed textiles (like old subway maps, taxi upholstery, and Broadway playbills). The project aims to highlight sustainability in fashion while paying homage to the city's transit system as a democratic stage. We'll collaborate with local emerging designers and models to create 10 striking looks that tell a story of urban renewal and creativity. Each look will be photographed and filmed in a different station, from the iconic Grand Central to the gritty Bedford Avenue. The final output will be a digital lookbook, a short fashion film, and a series of social media content pieces, all designed to go viral and showcase the talent of the team. What makes this unique is its guerrilla-style production: we'll shoot during off-peak hours with minimal permits (where possible) to capture the authentic rhythm of the city. The project also includes a behind-the-scenes documentary element, highlighting the collaborative process and the stories of the individuals involved.
