This project creates a duet of performances, one in Hull and one in London, that mirror each other. The creative team will develop a short, site-specific piece that uses the unique architecture, history, and atmosphere of each location as its stage and inspiration. The Hull performance will take place in the cobbled lanes around Holy Trinity Church and the Old Town, telling a story of maritime heritage and reinvention. The London performance will be on the South Bank, weaving between the National Theatre and the Tate Modern, exploring themes of urban renewal and cultural exchange. The two performances will be linked through a shared narrative, choreography, and sound design, but adapted to their specific environments. The final output will be a short film documenting both performances intercut, creating a powerful dialogue between the two cities.
