This project is a triptych of short, immersive performance films, each set in a different iconic location in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. The concept explores the idea of 'urban myth' – the stories we tell about our cities, the unspoken narratives that pulse beneath the surface. In New York, a spoken word artist and dancer will transform the raw, industrial energy of the Brooklyn waterfront into a percussive, rhythmic dialogue. In Miami, a choreographer and musician will weave a hypnotic, fluid piece against the pastel hues of the Art Deco district, blending Latin rhythms with the ebb and flow of the ocean. In LA, a director and actor will create a cinematic, noir-inspired piece set against the glowing backdrop of the Sunset Strip at dusk, exploring the city's obsession with fame and reinvention. Each segment will be crafted to be a standalone piece, but together they form a cohesive narrative about American urban identity. The performers will not be confined to a stage; they will interact with their environment – a dancer's shadow against a graffiti wall, a poet's voice echoing through an empty parking garage, a musician's melody carried by the wind. This is a celebration of place, a love letter to three cities, and a testament to the power of performance to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. The final edit will be a visually stunning, emotionally resonant collection that showcases the unique talents of each performer and the distinct character of each city.
